ACS Petroleum Research Fund

The Petroleum Research Fund (PRF) is an endowed fund, managed by the American Chemical Society that supports fundamental research directly related to petroleum or alternate energy at nonprofit institutions (generally colleges and universities) in the United States and other countries.

Proposal Submission Announcement

The ACS PRF Advisory Board has limited the scope of fundable research. Please refer to the list of scientific disciplines for descriptions of what areas we do not support as well as the research areas in which proposals will be considered.

Since the first ACS PRF grants were approved in 1954, several grant programs have evolved to serve segments of the scientific community.
