Committee on Professional Training

The ACS Committee on Professional Training (CPT) facilitates the maintenance and improvement of the quality of chemical education at the postsecondary level by:

• Developing guidelines that define high quality undergraduate chemistry programs and administering the ACS approval program
• Publishing the ACS Directory of Graduate Research
• Conducting special surveys to monitor trends, developments, and problems in chemical education
• Cooperating with chemical industry and professional organizations concerned with maintaining high-quality postsecondary education
