ACS National Awards Program is one of the means by which the Society meets its obligation “to encourage…the advancement of chemistry in all its branches, the promotion of research in chemical science and industry, [and] the improvement of the qualifications and usefulness of chemists.”
We would like to thank all those who submitted nominations for the 2013 award presentation, which ended November 1, 2011. The 2013 award recipients will be announced during the fall national meeting in August 2012.
The 2012 Arthur C. Cope and Cope Scholar Awards will be presented on Tuesday, August 21 at the 244th ACS National Meeting in Philadelphia, PA. Eleven individuals will be honored and recognized for their work in Organic Chemistry during the Arthur C. Cope and Cope Scholar symposium, sponsored by the ACS Division of Organic Chemistry on Tuesday, August 21.
