National Chemistry Week

National Chemistry Week (NCW) is a community-based annual event that unites ACS local sections, businesses, schools, and individuals in communicating the importance of chemistry to our quality of life.

Get Involved with NCW

• Contact your NCW Coordinator for resources and ideas about NCW.
• Search for NCW events in your area or submit an event.
• Purchase NCW-themed merchandise online in the ACS store.
• When using Twitter to talk about NCW, be sure to add #NCW to your tweet.
• Join the NCW group on the ACS Network.
• Do you work for a chemical company? Read about ways your company can participate in NCW.
• Take your family to a local science museum and point out the chemistry that is involved in creating the displays or in making scientific discoveries.
• Do a hands-on activity or chemical demonstration with your family. See Science for Kids for some simple examples.

National Chemistry Week 2012

National Chemistry Week 2012 will focus on the topic of nanoscience as it relates to the environment, energy, materials and health. The dates are October 21-27 and the theme will be released in March 2012. NCW 2012 also marks 25 Years of National Chemistry Week.
