CD and Money Market Deposit Accounts
The American Chemical Society provides CD and money market deposit accounts through Bank of America. These accounts come with FDIC insurance up to $100,000 per depositor. Personal Checking and Savings Accounts - Access to Keep the Change Savings Program
This automatic savings program rounds up your ACS Check Card purchases to the nearest dollar and transfers the difference from your checking account to your savings account. As a member of the American Chemical Society, Bank of America will match your Keep the Change savings transfers at 100% for the first three months and at 15% thereafter - up to a maximum total of $250 per year.** Accounts include free online banking service with unlimited bill pay and easy access to your account at more than 6,100 banking centers and over 18,000 bank-owned ATMs. For more information or to enroll, visit your local Bank of America banking center or log on to www.bankofamerica.com/acs.
**Upon enrollment, we will round up your Visa® Check Card purchases to the nearest dollar and transfer the difference from your Bank of America checking account to your Bank of America savings account. We will match your Keep the Change savings at 100% for the first three months and, for ACS customers, 15% thereafter. The maximum total match is $250 per year. Matching funds are paid annually after the anniversary of enrollment on accounts that remain open and enrolled. We will only match Keep the Change transfers on up to five checking accounts per depositor (including joint depositors) or up to five checking accounts per household, whichever is less. Eligible savings accounts include, but are not limited to, Regular Savings (or Market Rate Savings in WA and ID) that requires a minimum opening balance of $25 ($1 in WA and ID) and pays a variable Annual Percentage Yield (APY) that was .05% as of 10/20/2008. Money Market savings accounts are also eligible. Fees may reduce earnings. The promotional matching funds will be reported to the IRS on form 1099. Patent pending.
