Green Chemistry Education and Outreach

The ACS Green Chemistry Institute^® (ACS GCI) integrates green chemistry into all levels of education by:

• Producing seven publications for chemical educators to use to teach green chemistry in their courses.
  
  
• Offering green chemistry workshops and webinars for students, educators, and professionals.
  
  
• Connecting with over 10,000 chemists and engineers in more than 50 countries.
  

Global Reach

In partnership with EPA in the Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Awards program, ACS GCI has helped recognize 82 companies, small businesses and academic researchers for their outstanding green technologies.

More than 50 ACS Student Chapters were recognized as Green Chemistry Chapters for the second year in a row.

Green chemistry symposia continue to expand at ACS National Meetings. Registration at the 15^th Annual ACS Green Chemistry and Engineering Conference in 2011 increased to 660 attendees from 30 countries.
