Thematic Program

Thematic programming was developed to highlight the multidisciplinary nature of the scientific enterprise. Themes are chosen based on relevance to current scientific and societal issues, and their wide application to division programming. Previous themes include: Sustainability of Energy, Food, and Water, Biotechnology for Health and Wellness, and Energy and the Environment. Theme organizers are chosen—and responsibilities are defined—by the Multidisciplinary Program Planning Group (MPPG).
