About the Multidisciplinary Program Planning Group

The Multidisciplinary Program Planning Group (MPPG) was created by the Committee on Divisional Activities (DAC) to address the increasingly multidisciplinary nature of chemistry. MPPG is tasked with selecting themes and planning Society-wide thematic and multidisciplinary programming for ACS National meetings as well as exploration of new programming formats for national and other Society meetings. MPPG is made up of representatives of the ACS technical divisions and other groups related to programming Committee on Meetings and Expositions (M&E), DAC, and Committee on Science (Comsci).

The steering committee of MPPG is made up of 12 members: three committee representatives (DAC, M&E, and Comsci), representatives of the 5 divisions who contribute the most programming to ACS national meetings, and 4 elected representatives from divisions.

Mike Morello is the 2009 Chair of the group.
