Distinguished Service Award
Purpose - recognize substantial and sustained service to the AGFD
Eligibility - must be an AGFD member for a minimum of ten years
Young Scientist Award
Purpose - recognize outstanding research in agricultural and food chemistry by a young scientist.
Eligibility - must be an AGFD member and have earned last degree within eight years of October 1 of the presentation year
Donald A. Withycombe Graduate Fellowship Award in Food Chemistry
Purpose - support and encourage graduate students who display outstanding potential early in their program.
Eligibility - must have outstanding and beginning graduate grade point averages (GPA) and show promise of an excellent graduate research career
Excellence in Graduate Research in Agricultural or Food Chemistry
Purpose - showcase the research talents of graduate degree candidates to prospective employers.
Eligibility - open to all year-to-be-degreed graduate students at all certified universities doing advanced research in areas of food and agricultural chemistry
Undergraduate Research Award in Agriculture and Food Chemistry
Purpose - recognize an outstanding undergraduate student conducting research in agriculture and food chemistry.
Eligibility - must be done by the student while a junior or senior undergraduate
Advancement of the Application of Agricultural and Food Chemistry Award
Purpose - recognize and encourage outstanding contributions to pure or applied agricultural and food chemistry.
Eligibility - must have made an outstanding application of chemistry or chemical technology to the solution of agricultural or food problems of importance to the nourishment and health of mankind or outstanding contributions to the advancement of pure or applied agricultural and food chemistry, special consideration given to independence of thought and the originality shown, or to the importance of the work when applied to public welfare or the needs of humanity, must be actively engaged in the line of work, granted without regard to sex, creed, or nationality
George C. Charalambous Graduate Fellowship in Food Chemistry
Purpose - support and encourage graduate students displaying outstanding potential early in their program.
Eligibility - must have outstanding and beginning graduate grade point averages (GPA) and show promise of an excellent graduate research career
AGFD Fellow Award
Purpose - recognize an AGFD member who has made outstanding scientific contributions to the field of agricultural and food chemistry.
Eligibility - must be an AGFD member.
