Application Instructions
Proposals
The deadline for proposals is Thursday, February 11, 2010. Proposals are limited to four pages (excluding the cover sheet and any appendices) and must include the following:
- Mini grant cover sheet
- Program/activity description: What type of program/activity are you planning (panel discussion, symposium, workshop, resource development, etc.)? What materials are available? How many people will be involved? Is this a one-time event or the first step of a program?
- Need for program/activity: How does this program/activity differ from or complement other programs and activities in your area? How does this program/activity support the goals of Equipping the 2015 Chemical Technology Workforce?
- Organizers/description of partnerships: Who will be involved in your program/activity? What sectors of the chemical enterprise will be involved? If partnering with another group, who are your partners?
- Promotion plan: How will you ensure participation?
- Timeline: When will you plan, carry out, and following up on the program/activity?
- Desired outcomes: What immediate and long-term results do you expect from your program/activity?
- Metrics for evaluating program success: How will you determine if your program/activity is a success?

Final Reports
Final reports for awardees must be received by January 31, 2011. Reports must include the following:
- Description of activity as it occurred
- Activity outcomes
- Complete budget, including all expenses
- Next steps
Awardees will also be required to prepare a 5-7 page “ePoster” to be shared on the Equipping the 2015 Chemical Technology Workforce website. Templates will be available, if desired.
