ACS depends on the support of private and family foundations to provide opportunities for chemistry students, teachers, and professionals.
The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation is supporting a survey of graduate students in the chemical sciences to assess the graduate experience from the student perspective. The responses will help identify ways in which graduate programs and ACS can enhance retention, socialization, and the career preparation of students. The long-term goal of this project is to catalyze changes in chemistry graduate education, informed by the results of this survey, which will lead to a more positive and productive graduate student experience.
