San Francisco International Airport is 14 miles south of downtown San Francisco. It takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes to reach downtown, depending on the time of day and method of transportation.

Local Transportation To/From Airport
Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART): The San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) system (www.bart.gov) connects the SFO airport with downtown San Francisco in approximately 30 minutes for under $10. The airport’s BART Station is located in the International Terminal and is accessible from all terminals via the SFO AirTrain – the airport’s transportation system. BART trains operate seven days a week from 4:00 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. weekdays, 6:00 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, and 8:00 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. on Sunday.

Door-to-Door Van Shuttle Services: Many door-to-door van services operate from all airport terminals to downtown San Francisco and fares average $10-15 per person. Van service is available on a walk-up basis from the airport only. Advance reservations are required for service to the airport and after 11:00 p.m. from the airport. Vans are located on the departures/ticketing level from the roadway center island at all terminals.

Taxicabs: Taxi service is available from SFO to downtown San Francisco and fares average $30- $45 plus a $2 fee on all taxicabs leaving SFO airport. Uniformed taxi coordinators are stationed at the taxi zones from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. to assist passengers with questions or concerns. Taxis depart from the designated taxi zones located at the roadway center islands, on the Arrivals/Baggage Claim Level of all terminals. By sharing a ride, up to 5 persons can ride for the price of 1 person. Metered rates apply to all destinations.
Skycap Service
The Moscone Center has partnered with Baggage Airline Guest Services, Inc., (BAGS) to offer check-in and door-to-door rolling baggage handling services to attendees on the final day of the meeting. This service is only available to attendees who are flying on selected domestic flights departing from San Francisco Airport.
