ACS International Chemical Sciences Chapter in Saudi Arabia

As the first International Chemical Sciences Chapter of the ACS, the Saudi Arabian International Chemical Sciences Chapter (SAICSC) helped pioneer the international chapter formation effort. Since its founding in 1988, and incorporation as a recognized affiliate in 1992, the SAICSC has adopted the goals and objectives of the ACS and contributes to the same organizational purpose.

The ICSC in Saudi Arabia sponsors monthly dinner meetings featuring guest speakers. Chapter members also organize and co-organize regional meetings, including the 7th International Conference and Exhibition on Chemistry in Industry (CHEMINDIX 2007), held in Bahrain in March 2007.

The Saudi Arabia ICSC promotes chemistry in the community by running chemistry shows in area schools and exhibiting at Saudi Aramco’s Fall Fair and Earth Day celebrations.
