Special Event Insurance

ACS Group Special Event Cancellation Insurance is designed to provide financial protection for certain losses that may occur during the period leading up to and the day of your special event, such as theft of rings or presents, damage to wedding dress, and other types of loss. The following categories are covered under ACS Group Special Event Cancellation Insurance:

• Event Cancellation or Postponement
• Extra Expense
• Event Photographs
• Special Attire
• Special Gifts
• Special Jewelry
• Loss of Deposits
• Professional Counseling*

*Not available in TX and VA.

ACS Special Event Cancellation Insurance will indemnify you, in excess of the deductible, for all deposits forfeited and other charges paid or contracted to be paid by you or the honoree for transport, catering services, property and equipment rentals, hall and location rentals, accommodations (including travel arrangements and accommodations for a honeymoon, if applicable), special attire, special jewelry, flowers, event photographs and event videos, and entertainment expenses, because of a necessary cancellation or postponement of the event, including a cancellation or postponement resulting from withdrawal of leave.

ACS Group Special Event Liability Insurance helps protect you in case you’re held responsible for property damage to your special event venue or if someone is injured at your event. This type of coverage is required by many venues, and the ACS Group Special Event Liability plan fits the bill for those venues, as it includes them as a Named Insured at no additional cost. The following categories are covered under ACS Group Special Event Liability Insurance:*

• Bodily Injury—up to $2,000,000 aggregate
• Property Damage Liability
• Host Liquor Liability
• Optional Cancellation Endorsement
• For weddings, this policy covers the ceremony and accompanying reception, as well as a rehearsal dinner held within 48 hours of the wedding ceremony.

*Not all coverages available in all states. Not available for events taking place in the Bahamas, Bermuda, Caribbean Islands, Mexico, or the United Kingdom, or cruise ships leaving those ports.

ACS Special Event Liability Insurance will pay damages, including prejudgment interest, due to an incident for which you or an organizational insured is legally liable because of bodily injury, property damage, or personal injury arising out the event. Your policy will defend any such suit seeking those damages, even if the allegations are false or groundless.

In addition to the limit of liability for this coverage, your policy will also pay: a. All costs incurred in the settlement of any claim or defense of any suit; b. Interest on damages awarded in any suit defended by your policy accruing after judgment is entered and before the underwriter has paid, offered to pay, or deposited in court that portion of the judgment which is not more than their limit of liability; c. Premiums on appeal bonds and attachment bonds required in any suit the underwriter defends, not for an amount above the underwriter’s limit of liability; d. Loss of earnings of up to $100 a day when the underwriter asks you or an organizational insured to attend trials or hearings; and e. Other reasonable expenses incurred at the underwriter’s request.

Special Discount to ACS Members

If you purchase both an ACS Group Special Event Cancellation policy and an ACS Group Special Event Liability policy, you are eligible for a 15% discount (10% in AK and FL).

Special Event Cancellation Policy Conditions

• Effective from the date of purchase through the event date
• Must be purchased at least 14 days prior to the event date
• Not available for Business or Organizational Events
• Available to U.S. residents
• Event must be held in the United States, U.S. territories and possessions, Canada, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Bermuda, Caribbean Islands, Mexico, or the United Kingdom, or cruises leaving those ports

Special Event Liability Policy Conditions

• Effective for the date of the event
• Must be purchased at least 1 day prior to the event date
• Available to U.S. residents
• Event must be held in the United States, U.S. territories and possessions, Canada, or Puerto Rico, or a cruise ship leaving those ports

Private Events

Weddings, Quinceañera, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, Baptism, Anniversary Party, Birthday Party, Baby Shower, Retirement Party, House Warming, Special Achievement Reception

Business/Organizational Events (Not available in AK or FL)

Business Dinner, Fundraising Dinner, Business Meeting, Non-Profit Function, Corporate Private Party

Unacceptable Events*

Public Events, Exhibitions, Bachelor/Bachelorette Parties, Sporting Events

Business/Organizational Events

If an acceptable business/organization event has any of the following, the risk is unacceptable:

• More than 500 attendees
• Held on premises owned/operated by the applicant
• Planned athletic activity or sports participation
• Amusement devices (dunk tank, slide, animal rides, bungee, moon walk/bounce) present

Renewals/Endorsements/Cancellations

There are no renewals, endorsements or cancellations for this program. All policies are fully earned at inception unless state regulations require otherwise. ACS Group Special Event Liability policies may allow for revisions (but not policy cancellation).
