
cis-Pellitorin is a pungent flavoring agent isolated from the tarragon plant (Artemisia dracunculus L.). It is used to give a prickly, “hot” taste to foods and oral hygiene products. A new synthesis of cis-pellitorin is described in Patent Watch for March 9, 2009.
