Decaborane, B10H14, is one of several stable binary boron–hydrogen compounds. It was first synthesized in 1962 by the pyrolysis of B2H6. It has the characteristic musty odor of boron hydrides; and, like the others, it is toxic to the central nervous system. It has been used for implanting boron in semiconductors, as a polymerization catalyst, and as a rocket fuel additive.
