Celecoxib is the active ingredient in the arthritis pain reliever Celebrex, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Celecoxib was recently approved by the FDA for relief from symptoms of ankylosing spondylitis, a form of arthritis affecting the spine.
