ACS-Hach Programs

Supporting and improving high school chemistry one teacher at a time

ACS-Hach Programs are endowed by the Hach Scientific Foundation to promote science education through grants and scholarships. From pre-service education through ongoing professional development, the ACS-Hach Programs offer future and current teachers the support to transform learning in their classrooms.

The Programs

ACS-Hach Second Career Teacher Scholarship

The ACS-Hach Second Career Teacher Scholarship is awarded to professionals in the chemistry field pursuing a masters degree in education or teacher certification to teach high school chemistry.

  • Award Amount: $6,000 for full-time study and $3,000 for part-time study
  • Application Period: February 1 - April 1

ACS-Hach Land Grant Scholarship

The ACS-Hach Land Grant Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate chemistry majors who attend one of our 72 partner institutions and express an interest in teaching high school chemistry.

  • Award Amount: $6,000 for full-time study
  • Application Period: Contact participating universities directly for application details.

ACS-Hach High School Chemistry Teacher Grant

The ACS-Hach High School Chemistry Grant is awarded to high school chemistry teachers seeking funds to support ideas that transform classroom learning and encourage student development.

  • Award Amount: Up to $1,500
  • Application Period: February 1 - April 1
