Bytesize Science debuts new video podcast episodes in high-definition

WASHINGTON, June 4, 2009 –— The American Chemical Society (ACS) today debuted new video episodes of Bytesize Science, their award-winning chemistry podcast for kids and teens, in crisp high–definition (HD). Watch the latest episode at www.BytesizeScience.com to find out how scientists are developing “super paper” that is stronger than cast iron!

The new episode reveals how scientists created this super tough type of paper, which may someday lead to a new kind of bullet proof vest. This video is the first product to come out of ACS’ brand new podcasting studio, which features a full-size green screen and professional audio and video equipment. Bytesize Science video podcasts will be posted the first Wednesday of every month. New episodes of the audio podcast will appear bi-weekly.

Downloaded thousands of times each month, Bytesize Science translates cutting-edge scientific discoveries from ACS’ 34 peer-reviewed journals and Chemical & Engineering News into stories for young listeners about science, health, medicine, energy, food, and other topics.
