Revision of the ACS Guidelines for Chemistry Programs in Two-Year Colleges
A task force of the Society Committee on Education is charged with coordinating the revision and dissemination of the third edition of the Guidelines for Chemistry Programs in Two-Year Colleges.
We would like your input on the Draft Guidelines. Please send your comments to commcollchem@acs.org.
Tentative Goals for Revision
- Reflect changes in pedagogy, technology, accountability
- Facilitate student transfer
- by aligning with the revised ACS Guidelines for Bachelor’s Programs
- by calling for communicating with receiving institutions
- Provide a more useful resource for strengthening programs
- by offering guidance for ongoing curricular change
- by offering guidance for improving the working environment
