On Thursday, July 9, industry leaders and researchers and students from colleges and universities around the country will be on Capitol Hill to present demonstrations and posters highlighting the latest research and education on cyber-physical systems. The National Science Foundation's new Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) program will advance the research that is driving the next Information Technology revolution.
Intelligent, energy-efficient, earthquake-proof buildings. Physical infrastructure monitored and linked together through networks. Smart appliances interacting with intelligent power grids. Embedded medical devices and unobtrusive assistive technology for healthier living. These are just a few examples of the potential of cyber-physical systems.
