These are policies and procedures to follow while participating in the ACS Career Fair. These policies and procedures are in place to ensure that you, as well as employers, have a positive and productive experience. Repeated instances of unprofessional behavior by job seekers can result in decreased employer participation, further resulting in fewer job opportunities.
Adhere to the following:
Submitting a resume to request an interview is a formal commitment to the employer. If you are selected for an interview, you are committed to showing up for the interview at the designated time. If you do not keep your appointment with an employer, you will be considered a “no show.” Should an emergency or unforeseen circumstances arise that will prohibit you from making an interview, it is your professional responsibility to inform the employer, or a member of the ACS Career Fair staff, of your need to cancel an interview.
The ACS Career Fair cancellation policy is that all job seekers must provide employers with at least a half-day’s notice of any interview cancellation. Failure to adhere to this policy will result in a notation in the job seeker’s online profile informing prospective employers of “no show” instances, as well as possible revocation of further online job searching and interviewing privileges within the ACS Career Fair.
Always provide accurate information in setting up your ACS Career Fair profile, on your resume and during your interview. Do not falsify work experience, GPA, education or employment dates, eligibility, leadership roles, etc.
