Advocacy and Public Relations Subcommittee

Responsibilities

  • Promote awareness and greater acceptance of technicians/technologists as chemical professionals among employers, educators, students, ACS, and the general public
  • Identify, promote, and/or initiate independent or collaborative activities with other ACS governance bodies that support and advocate change to broaden inclusion of the chemistry-based technician/technologist profession
  • Facilitate communication between ACS, employers, and other technical and professional societies concerning critical issues of common interest in the area of technician/technologist activities

  • Identify and promote leadership opportunities for chemistry-based technicians/technologists in ACS
  • Serve as the governance link for chemistry-based technicians/technologist within the ACS
