Purpose: To recognize distinguished service to the Society over a period of years.
Nature: The award consists of a cash amount to be determined by the ACS Board of Directors and an appropriate certificate or medallion. Reasonable travel expenses to the meeting at which the award will be presented will be reimbursed.
Eligibility: The award is given at irregular intervals at the discretion of the ACS Board of Directors to recognize outstanding service to the Society by a senior staff member over a period of years. It may be given to the widow, widower, child, or children of the person recognized.
Deadline: November 1 (annual review).
Establishment & Support: The ACS Board of Directors established the award in 1988.
Selection of Recipient: The recipient is selected by the ACS Board of Directors and receives the award on or after retirement.
