If you’re looking for new ideas to enhance your advanced high school chemistry course, take the Teaching Inquiry-based Advanced High School Chemistry workshop. Based on the college textbook Chemistry and led by experienced chemistry educators, this 3-day residential workshop will give you the tools you need to incorporate inquiry into your advanced high school chemistry course.
The workshop, Teaching Inquiry-based Advanced High School Chemistry, provides instructional tips and techniques for promoting active and collaborative learning through:
Daily sessions typically run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Participants can also expect evening sessions, homework assignments and group presentations. At the conclusion of the workshop, teachers receive a certificate documenting up to 20 professional development hours.
ACS covers meals and housing at the workshop site (guest and family members are not permitted). A $50 registration fee is required.

Registration cancellations and requests for refunds must be submitted in writing. Refund requests can be made by email, fax, or mail.

A full refund is provided for cancellations made up to three weeks before the start of a workshop. A $20.00 processing fee will be deducted from any requested refund made one week before the start of the workshop. No refunds are made after the start of the workshop.
