ACS Resource List - Globalization
"The workplace has changed, and it is now much more globalized. The following resources will help you compete and manage work globally."
Globalization refers to growth at a global or worldwide scale. Chemistry in particular has witnessed globalization first hand. Co-authors increasingly come from different continents. Companies are opening up research and manufacturing facilities around the globe. Many chemists regularly interact and communicate with colleagues around the world.
While some view globalization as a potential threat to their livelihood, it may also present unique career opportunities. It is important to explore diversity and experience other cultures whether by studying or working abroad, traveling, or seeking out new experiences.
