Preliminary Technical Program/Agenda
On Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 9AM – 3PM, the ACS Indiana Local Section would like to invite all ACS members and their guests to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) for a multi-faceted event, featuring the Annual Celebrate Science Indiana Science Fair (STEM event for families and educators), as well as the opportunity to experience the IMS.
There are two different opportunities to have a racing experience with a professional race car driver in high performance sports cars (either on the Oval, or on the North Section of the Formula One Course). There will also be multiple racing-related exhibits and experiences. Food, beverages and souvenirs will be available. Register at ACS Registration starting in late-June. The ACS Indiana Local Section looks forward to seeing you there!
This event provides the ticket holder a track lap in an Indy 500 Pace Car on the Indy 500 oval track with a professional race car driver, including a picture afterwards with an Indy 500 Race Car. There will be a total of three guests and one driver per car. Ticket purchasers will receive a coupon in their registration materials. On the day of the event, redeem coupon at the IMS Speedway at Track Lap Registration Table.
Schedule – 9 – 11AM, 11AM – 1PM, and 1 – 3PM
Presale - 300 tickets for each time slot on ACS Registration (available late-June)

Price – $30 ACS student members, $50 ACS members, $60 non-members
This event provides the ticket holder to a hot lap on the north section of the Formula 1 road course in a high performance sports car driven by a professional race car driver, with a picture afterwards with the 2013 John Cooper Works MINI Cooper Hardtop. There will be a total of one guest and one driver per car. Ticket purchasers will receive a coupon in their registration material. On the day of the event, redeem coupon at the IMS Speedway at Track Lap Registration Table.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum, located on the grounds of the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway, is recognized as one of the most highly visible museums in the world devoted to automobiles and auto racing. In 1987, the museum and Speedway grounds were honored with the designation of National Historic Landmark.
