ACS organizes two national meetings and expositions each year. During these meetings, scientists present new multidisciplinary research, hear the latest information in their areas of professional interest, and network with colleagues. Programming is planned by technical divisions, secretariats, committees, and the ACS president. Each 2009 meeting will attract approximately 13,000 chemists, chemical engineers, academics, graduate and undergraduate students, and related professionals and will feature more than 8,000 presentations organized into technical symposia.
