Certificate of Merit Award

Purpose - recognize a first notable presentation before ENVR at an ACS national meeting

Eligibility - must not have previously presented a paper at an ACS national meeting.


Distinguished Service Award

Purpose - recognize sustained and distinguished contributions to the field of environmental chemistry and to ENVR

Eligibility - must have been an ENVR member for at least 10 yr and active through presentations at and organization of symposia, effective work on division committees, regular attendance and participation at national meetings, holding office in the division, and a general attitude and willingness to help in the divisional work.


Graduate Student Award

Purpose - recognize excellence in graduate studies in the field of environmental chemistry

Eligibility - must have completed one full year of graduate study at their current institution by the date of announcement of the awards.


Graduate Student Research Paper Award

Purpose - recognize excellence in research and presentation of results

Eligibility - graduate students enrolled full-time in chemistry, environmental engineering, or other program emphasizing environmental chemistry are eligible, research paper must be relevant to environmental chemistry, the student must be the first and major author, work must have been done while attending the student's current institution.
