Why take a Webcast Short Course?

Small Class Sizes and Personal Attention – The average class has 12 participants, and our instructors are available by email between sessions so you will have ALL your questions answered.

Expert Instruction – We hold our webcast instructors to the same high standards as our short course instructors (and they are often the same instructors for both courses).

Class Sessions are Recorded for On-Demand Playback – Scheduled live online class sessions are the best way to get the most out of your experience. But if you miss an online session, it’s okay. All class sessions are recorded and ready for viewing when you’re available.

Interactive – Our webcasts employ a great technology that allows you to participate just as in a live class; you can even write on the whiteboard.

More Application Time – Instead of getting all the information at once with no follow-up as with most professional training, you have time between sessions to apply what you’ve learned and come back to class with your burning questions. How does an ACS Webcast Short Course Work?

Webcasts typically include a series of live online sessions with a qualified chemistry instructor over a period of weeks. Participants can attend an online session from home, work, or the lab; anywhere with a computer with internet access and a phone that can call a toll-free number.

In each scheduled online session, participants view live class presentations (slides, animations, and other materials) over the internet. They interact with the instructor and their classmates and listen to the lecture over a secure conference call.

Courses typically include homework assignments and testing to help ensure a good understanding of key topics. An added bonus is that all online sessions are recorded so that they can easily be viewed if a session is missed.

In addition, each class includes a secure customized web page with links to all the class materials including lecture slides, manuals, glossaries, recorded sessions and supplemental materials.
